Doesn't have a trailer. But even still, it sounds like it's going to go for a song... _________________ Ex-235 Owner

I know Georgia does not require a title on watercraft, but I don't know the rest of their laws regarding. I wonder if it is being sold to recoop docking fees. It would be interesting to know who actually owns the boat right now. |

I'm almost certain it's the same boat I saw advertised on-line a few months ago for $7K - my recollection of its list of features is ~same as the ebay boat. I can't wait to see what it goes for. _________________ Neil Quigley

I told him this weekend about the ebay boat but he said he's waiting until spring. Oh well. If I could talk my wife into it, I'd bid for it, and if I could get it cheap, I'm sure I could sell it to a club memebr for a small profit, but I haven't convinced her it's a deal ... yet. _________________ Neil Quigley

I was thinking along the same lines. I think I would swap out the sails first. (grin). |

17 hours left and the price is now up to $5200. I still dont understand why anyone BIDS in the middle of the auction. It only serves to drive the price UP. What was once an insane deal is now slowly working it's way into the normal low level price range by bidders eager to bring the price up.

Think it will go over the $7,000 price?
The new contender joined Ebay yesterday.

It's good for the sellers and is what makes Ebay so much fun. And then there are the snipers. Their discussion board is a riot.
Hey Kelly, are you a sniper? |

There's a discussion board on/about ebay? Where is that? I bet it is a riot. _________________ Neil Quigley

From the Ebay main page, go to community, then Community Help Boards, and finally click on bidding. You can generally recoginize the threads on sniping by their size. Soon you will learn the legend of tiptie. |

I agree entirely. I was thinking of bidding if it looked like someone was going to be able to steal her: I thought I could turn a small profit and get another F235 into our club. Now she's heading for a final price of ~$6K or more, so I'll let these cowboys (who are bidding too early) drive their final price up. I looked at a cheap (asking $7900) F235 on the same lake 2 years ago, and shied away when (i) the owner wouldn't budge on price and (ii) when I found out I'd have to pay $7/ft of length to get a crane to lift it out, onto a trailer that I'd have to supply, and pay the marina a $150 decommissioning fee! I fear this boat may attract some of these hidden costs too, so she won't be too cheap in the end.
You all know how I am about dragging F235 owners to the forum and the database - now I've decided not to bid on the ebay F235, I emailed both of the main bidders last night to encourage them to visit Kelly's site and this forum site, and to eamil me when (one of them) wins the auction - I'll let you know if the winner contacts me. _________________ Neil Quigley

Wow - someone 'stole' this one - the auction just ended with a final winning bid on $5400 - no last-second sniping either. Now let's hope the new owner finds his/her way here. _________________ Neil Quigley

You just got a great deal on a great boat. At that price I should have bid on it for a spare :)

Congratulations Jon!
Can you possibly share what the story was with this boat? It sold for less than half of it's fair-market value- Congratulations again!
Usually this happens in situations like disinterested heirs selling or someone in a hurry who maybe doesn't know the value of their boat.
I'm pretty sure I'd seen that boat at Sunrise Cove. Is that the one?

Dave,
I hear you are thinking about selling "Celestial" in the near future. Are you going to be posting this here with pics? We have a few that have been looking for F235.

Hi Kelly-
Reluctantly, that is true. I'm working on a website as we speak.
Best regards,
